How these work

Codes publish instantly — the moment you click Create & publish, any customer at checkout can enter the code and get the discount. No deploy needed.

Usage counting is honour-based client-side until we wire a server store. The Used column increments on each successful order where the code was applied (via the Razorpay webhook) and syncs across devices that visit admin.

Share codes: tell customers to enter the code at checkout — it appears above the Pay button as "Have a promo code?" They see the discount applied before confirming payment.

About these settings
Everything you save here is stored on Netlify's servers (not just this browser) via the /settings Function + Netlify Blobs. That means:

Changes survive any code redeploy — your password / numbers / promo codes are not touched.
Changes are visible from any device you log into (phone, laptop, incognito).
Nothing resets if a visitor clears their browser cache.

The admin dashboard also keeps a local cache so public pages (track-order, WhatsApp button) keep working even if the function is briefly unreachable.

🔑 Change admin password

If you ever lose the password: hit /.netlify/functions/settings?reset=<ADMIN_SETTINGS_TOKEN> in your browser to re-seed the password back to ADMIN_INITIAL_PASSWORD (your Netlify env var). After any password change, do a hard-refresh (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R) to kick the service worker.
